Tonight we have a message for every child of God, saved and unsaved — a message that should move us, motivate us, inspire us, and save us. Tonight we will be reading in the book of Romans and going over a very familiar scripture, one that is often quoted but rarely read in its true context. This is a message that has too often been skimmed over, but tonight should be an eye-opening experience that draws us closer to the One who died for us all, Jesus Christ.
The title of this message is: “Where Are the Nine?”
The Bible tells us in Luke 17:11–19 of ten lepers who came to Jesus to be healed. Jesus sent them on their way to the temple, and as they went, all ten were cleansed.
Yet only one returned to Jesus to give Him praise, glory, and honor.
As it is written, “And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God… And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?” (KJV)
Only one came back.
But where were the nine?
Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
